Raw Cabbage Salad

A cheap, fast, easy and yummy winter cabbage salad.

  • 0,25 White cabbage head
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon or orange juice
  • 200 milliliter yoghurt or some other dairy product
  • 2 orange
  • 1 apple

Topping suggestions

  • raisins
  • cranberries
  • dried apricot sliced
  • mandarin
  • pear
  • nuts walnuts, hazelnuts, pecans
  • sunflower seeds
  • sunflower seeds


  1. Slice the cabbage finely. Dice the apples. Peal and dice the orange.
  2. Add apples, orange and cabbage to the bowl and mix in your other toppings.
  3. I normally don’t mix everything in the bowl, because it looks better and when you take from the top you tend to get a bit of everything.
  4. In another bowl: Mix your dairy product with a bit of sugar and a bit of lemon juice until the taste is balanced.
  5. Serve them together and people can add the amount of dressing they want over the top of their salad.
