Muffins with raisins, nuts and apples made to look like spiders by adding licorice strings as legs.

Total Time 30 minutes
Ingredients
- 400 milliliters wheat flour
- 200 milliliters sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 25 grams melted butter
- 50 milliliters milk
- 1 eggs you might need one more if the dough don't want to come together
- 150 milliliters raisins
- 1 apple cut into chunks
- 50 milliliters Hazelnuts or walnuts
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- licorice strings for legs
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 225 C
-
Mix flour, sugar, salt and baking powder.
-
Add the melted butter.
-
Whip together milk and eggs.
-
Stir in the flour, eggs and raisins. If the dough isn't coming together, add a an extra egg and adjust with flour.
-
Grade the apples, chop the nuts and add the sugar and cinnamon. Mix it all into the mix.
-
Pour the mix into the muffin forms (it's always a good idea to butter them). I find that using silicon forms works much better than paper. Or metal forms lined with paper.
-
Bake the muffins for about 20 minutes at 220-225 C
-
Let them cool, remove any paper forms.
-
Decorate with the licorice strings. You can of course also frost them if you really want to but they are rather sweet already.
