These oatmeal cookies are the snacks I make when I have nothing in the house and a craving for sweet. Or if friends come over for tea and we need snacks. And they only take 20 minutes to make – start to finish!

You can add nuts, raisins or chocolate chips to the recipe, if you feel a bit more decadent.

This is my mom’s recipe, so it is by no means authentically Hungarian. This is the perfect winter weekend food. Perfect slow food for a cheep piece of beef and heaps of potatos. I also love making it over a campfire.

Best birthday buns ever

No kidding – these are the best birthday buns I have ever made, so give them a try. You can ice them with a mix of icing sugar and water and dip them in coconut flakes. If you do not frost them, you cut them and eat them with butter, cheese or jam.
